Volunteers make good progress in beautifying SFVNA

A number of volunteers have given up their Saturday mornings to make one of the entrances to our neighborhood more beautiful and appealing. The entrance at Dellynne has for a long time been an eyesore. Due to a misalignment of the roads on either side of Unser, this entrance had to be redone, leaving a piece of property exposed. As with any untended land, it became overgrown with weeds and became just downright ugly.
The association decided a few months ago to tackle this clean up and beautification project and the progress has been amazing.
With a lot of hard work, the area has been cleared, donated rock has been spread over part of the area, trees, also donated, have been planted and our new sign is up. Next step... covering the rest of the area with more donated rock. We’re still trying to set that date...but we’ll need all hands on board to spread the 15-20 tons of rock over the rest of the area. Stay tuned, check it out, and plan to join us for the final work party to complete this neighborhood project.
